1. Raw material receiving unit in Potato starch processing line

Cleaned potato falls on a checking conveying belt equipped with nozzles for washing the surface of potato. Workers can manually take out the rotten potatos, wooden and plastic items. At the end of belt, the iron remover is installed for removing metal impurities. Then the potato is sent by bulk elevator into temporary storage in which it can stay 2 hours.

3. Milling unit in Potato starch processing line 
The milling unit is the most important step for extracting potato starch. The feeding screw combined at bottom of the storage tank pumped the clean potato into milling machine. Highly-efficient milling machine will release the starch in potato at most.

4. De-sanding cyclone unit in Potato starch processing line :
After milling, the starch milk is transferred to de-sanding cyclone by fiber pump. The hydro-cyclone divide the milk into two parts: the light part  which contains the mixture of starch and residue will go out from top of the cyclone, and the heavy part which contains the sand will be discharged out of the system.

5. Centrifugal extracting unit in Potato starch processing line 
The mixture is transferred to the 3 stage centrifugal sieves, each sieve works with a fiber pump and a defoam pump. The mixture enters into each sieve to separate residue and starch. After 3 stages continuous washing and separation, the filtrate is sent to concentration and refining unit, and the residue is sent to the residue de-watering unit.

6. Potato residue de-watering unit in Potato starch processing line 
The potato residue will be pumped to the centrifugal sieve for de-watering, the centrifugal sieve works like the extraction sieve. Then the screw conveyor discharges the residue out of the process, and the water will go back to the process water system.

7. Concentration and refining unit in Potato starch processing line :
The starch milk from centrifugal sieve goes into the 16 stages of refining hydro-cyclone, and fresh water comes into the cyclone from the end of system. Firstly, starch milk is pumped into 3 stages of concentration unit to remove the water, then the condensed starch milk enter the next 13 stages of washing unit, and the overflow enters into another 2 stages of recycle unit to recycle starch. Most of the effluent with fiber is discharged out of the process, and a little part goes back to the process water system. Finally, the condensed starch slurry is pumped into the starch slurry storage tank.

8. Vacuum de-watering unit in Potato starch processing line
The starch slurry is pumped into inlet tank of vacuum de-watering machine. Then the vacuum rotary drum will adsorb the starch on the drum surface and the filtrate is transferred out of the system by filtrate pump. The filter cake on the drum will be peeled off by peeler and then transferred to the air dryer.

9. Air drying unit in Potato starch processing line 
After de-watering process, the air dryer will dry the starch to the required moisture of the commercial starch by hot air . Then dry starch goes into the starch sieve to get the required size starch and pack into bags .

The main characteristic of this process: the whole potato starch production plant adopts closed way and spiral flow device,low consumption, high efficiency and good product quality. In the process of starch recovery and purification, no longer use the centrifuge but spiral flow station, so as to avoid the extensive use of the moving parts.

1. Potato Washing/De-stone Unit in potato starch production plant :

New harvest potatoes from the ground should first dry and sieve to remove the impurities as much as possible, and then stored in daily designated area.

2. Crushing Unit in potato starch production plant :

Potatoes feed rasping machine through screw conveyor. In order to production line not to stop when changing the saw blade, it should install the second rasping machine.

3. Starch Extraction/Fiber Separation Unit in potato starch production plant :

The potato paste after breaking mixed with water then pump into the first level screen, the wet fiber comes down from the first screen is pumped into the second, third and the fourth extraction screen, be sent to the fiber dryer dehydration. Wet residue dry matter content after dehydration is 10-12%

4. Desand Unit in potato starch production plant :

Starch milk after concentration is sent to a mixing tank, and then starch can use two levels of de-sander expel sand, the sand collected uses butterfly valve to eject.

5. Refined Unit in potato starch production plant :

At this time the starches with 12-14 level cyclone stand to clean, refined. Refined unit automatic work and is equipped with the necessary instruments. Starch slurry concentration after the refined is 35-40%.

6. Dehydration Unit in potato starch production plant :

Starch slurry in starch jar after refined, and then removes moisture through vacuum filter. The wet starch water content after dehydration is 38—40%.

7. Starch Dry Unit in potato starch production plant :

The product after drying uses high efficiency cyclone to collect, finished products of drying machine use pneumatic conveyor or screw conveyor to cool, cooling dry starch will use two stage cyclone separator collection and screw conveyor sends to the sieving machine, after screening to package warehousing.The whole potato starch production plant completed.
